Swatches | Femme Fatale Cosmetics Beautometry Exclusives

ffbe

Hey guys! Today I have a swatch and review of some Beautometry exclusive Femme Fatale Cosmetics including all 4 polishes from the Polish The Year Away Collection! These polishes are only available at Beautometry and they are all so incredibly beautiful and pretty unique to my collection. These were sent to me for review and retail for $12 each.

crystalbottle

Crystal Droplets shown at 3 coats under artificial lighting.

crystalbottom

Crystal Droplets at an angle under artificial lighting.

First up is Crystal Droplets which is the silvery wintery shade from the Polish The Year Away Collection. Crystal Droplets is described as a “pale white crelly base with aqua shimmer, red fine flakes/sparks, and metallic silver glitters.” This polish is in a pretty sheer base and at 3 coats built up just to the edge of being opaque for me. I do believe for personal use I would go in for a fourth coat but the aqua shimmer does do a great job at masking any visible nail line. The formula was very easy to work with and I love the silver glitters in here!

Next up is the juicy summery shade from the Polish The Year Away Collection, Summertide! Summertide is described as a “teal crelly with iridescent and holo glitters, silver, and chrome flakes.” This polish does have a bit of a jelly base and at 3 coats was again right on the edge of being opaque for me. I do live how vibrant and sparkly the finished result is!

voidbottle

Planetary Void shown at 3 coats under artificial lighting.

voidbottom

Planetary Void at an angle under artificial lighting.

Next up is the Customer Appreciation shade for 2016, Planetary Void! Planetary void is described as a “brown crelly base with turquoise and green glitters.” This has got to be one of the most unique polishes in my collection and I love it! It does have a bit of a thicker formula that tends to pool a little so nice thin coats are in order. At 3 coats Planetary Void built up perfectly opaque and a good topcoat helped smooth the larger green holographic glitters down. I can’t wait to use this polish for Earth Day nail art!

crapebottle

Crapemyrtle shown at 3 coats in mostly warm state under artificial lighting.

crapebottom

Crapemyrtle at an angle under artificial lighting.

Next is Crapemyrtle, the spring time polish from the Polish The Year Away collection! I think I am on a bit of a thermal kick right now but this polish is incredible and my top pick  for today! Crapemyrtle is described as a “pinkish purple to purple thermal with soft reddish shine, iridescent glitters, and fuchsia-purple holo micro glitters.” I did find this polish to be more warm sensitive than cold, I had good coverage at 2 coats but did opt to go in for a 3rd for my swatches today. The pinkish shift is a little more sheer than the colder purple tones. The red shimmer gives this polish a “lit from within” feel and I am so in love with it!

mischiefbottom

Hallow’s Mischief at an angle under artificial lighting.

Lastly today I have the spooky autumn shade from the Polish The Year Away collection, Hallow’s Mischief. This one is described as a “dark purple base with black and fuchsia micro glitters and soft pink/blue sparks.” This is such a deep vampy purple loaded down with micro glitters as well as some shredded holo glitters. The deep grape toned jelly base is incredibly pigmented and went on very nice in two coats, I had a little bit of sheerness to my tips so I did add a bit just there. This polish is especially gorgeous in natural sunlight!

Swatches | Night and Day Duo + Rainbow Cremes by Moonflower Polish

picmonkey-image-38

You guys, I am so beyond excited to share today’s swatch and review with you! I have both the Day and Night duo as well as the Rainbow Creme collection releasing from the brand new Moonflower Polish! These polishes are specifically intended to be stamping polishes, you may use them as a traditional polish if you were and they will be incredibly pigmented.  Nadia has tested these polishes for months and months and you can totally see that reflected in this finished product.

I do have the minis to share with you and they were sent for review, they will retail for $7.50 full size (or $70 set of 10) and $4.50 per each 7ml minis (or $40 set of 10.) For the Day and Night Duo the prices will be $7.50 full size, or $14 for the set with the mini option retailing for $4.50 per mini and$8 for the mini set. For any order over $50 you may use coupon code FREESHIP and receive free shipping. They are releasing for preorder on February 15th and the first 10 orders will ship right away!

img_3865

All of my swatches will be on a base of Tux Polish’s Pure and Onyx with a gel topcoat, before being finished off with SuperChic Lacquer’s Liquid Macro. Liquid Macro did cause a little bit of dragging on some of the images but Out The Door and Seche Vite have been tested with good results.

For all of the images today I used 2 reverse images on the Moyra stamping plate 03 ornaments. I did have a bit of trouble picking these up using my clear stamper on this plate so all stamps were done today using my Creative Shop stamper. I had no problem using my clear stamper to pick them up on a bornprettystore.com plate.

I am super impressed with all of the polishes in these collections but I can see the Day and Night duo being a must have, they both did an excellent job at picking up small details and not drying too quickly while giving a perfectly opaque finish. Did did get a bit darker over the dark base shown here.

_

grisbottle

Gris stamped over white and black under artificial lighting.

grisbottom

Gris at an angle under artificial lighting.

The first polish from the rainbow cremes collection is Gris (Grey) which is a beautiful midtoned cool grey polish. The formula is perfectly creme and both picked up and stamped with no problems over both white and black.

rojobottle

Rojo (Red) over white and black under artificial lighting.

rojobottom

Rojo at an angle under artificial lighting.

Next up is Rojo (Red) which is described as a cherry red. This polish is intense and transferred very nicely to the nail, I did have a little bit of staining so you may want to be mindful of that. On my ring nail here I did get a little bit of a shallow pick up with the dabbing method as opposed to rolling. Over black it did take on a more burgundy feel but it was still beautifully opaque.

anabottle

Anaranjado (Orange) shown over white and black under artificial lighting.

anabottom

Anaranjado at an angle under artificial lighting.

Next up is Anaranjado (Orange) which is a beautiful red leaning orange. I feel like this is the perfect, vibrant, Cheeto dust orange! It did dry a little bit on the fast side for me so you may want to move quickly with this one, it is also very pigmented and stained my stamper a bit. I can’t wait to revisit this shade for Halloween! I did have some pigment particles in this one and it did tint my topcoat over the white a little bit but not bad.

amabottle

Amarillo (Yellow) over black and white under artificial lighting.

amabottom

Next up is Amarillo (Yellow) and I am completely and totally impressed by this shade! It goes on perfectly over both black and white, over white it is a touch subtle and over black it takes on a big of a deeper hue. I can’t wait to pair this polish up with Gris!

verdebottle

Next up is my top pick from the Rainbow Cremes, this is Turquesa (Turquoise) and it is a gorgeously bright teal/turquoise shade! I’m really loving how neon this shade stamps over both white and black .

azulbottle

Azul (Blue) over white and black under artificial lighting.

azulbottom

Next up is Azul (Blue) which is described as a cobalt blue. This reminds me of a china blue, very vibrant bit delicate at the same time and I love how it looks with a white base! Again, no problems with pick up, stamping, or opacity.

violetabottle

Violeta (Violet) over white and black under artificial lighting.

violetabottom

Next is Violeta (Violet) a gorgeous spring appropriate violet shade. With this polish I tried to dab my stamper down and got a bit of a messy pickup, that was definitely user error however. On my other nails I utilized a rolling motion while picking up and got a much better image!

marronbottle

Marron (Brown) over white and black under artificial lighting.

marronbottom

The last polish in this collection is Marron (Brown) which is a perfect “horse brown” type shade. I have absolutely no complaints, it was easy to pick up and transfer and stays perfectly opaque over a range of colors.

Swatches | Primetime Lovers collection by Moon Shine Mani

plmsm

Hey you guys, today I have a swatch and review of the Primetime Lovers collection, available now from Moon Shine Mani by Phoebe Moon! This collection is made of 3 sets of companion polishes based on 3 of Phoebe’s favorite shows, these were sent to me for review and I have so many favorites! These polishes will retail for $11-$12 each.

wandabottle

Wild Card Wanda shown at 3 coats under artificial lighting.

wandabottom

Wild Card Wanda at an angle under artificial lighting.

First up is my top pick of the entire collection! This is Wild Card Wanda and it is inspired by Temperance Brennan from Bones. It is described as a “ruddy peach linear holographic is also complimented with sparkling gold shimmer.” This polish really toed the line between being a 2 and 3 coater, I honestly feel like it only needed 2 but all of my swatches show 3 today. Wild Card Wanda goes on super smooth and has a very strong linear holographic effect which when paired with all of the gold shimmer makes for an incredible finish!

buckbottom

Next up is Wild Card Wanda’s companion polish, Big River Buck! Big River Buck is inspired by Seeley Booth from Bones and is described as a “rich chocolate cream with fuchsia and mauve shimmers.” I love how rich and warm the tones in this polish are! Big River Buck is a little on the thicker side but had amazing coverage at just 1 coat with full opacity at 2.

rachembottle

Next up is She’s Not Rachem which is inspired by Rachel Green from Friends. This polish is described as a “soft sea green cream base with coordinating sea green shimmer. The formula is also freckled with rainbow iridescent flakies.” The finish on She’s Not Rachem is just gorgeous, with the added iridescent flakies it just sends me right over the edge. Perfect opacity in 2 easy coats.

She’s Not Rachem’s companion polish is The Divorce Force which is inspired by Ross. The Divorce Force is described as a “black jelly base of this polish [that] nestles as much sea green shimmer as I could pack in.” This is such a deep vampy shade and I love all of the shimmer micro flakies. This polish screams mermaid to me, amirite?  I had complete coverage at 3 coats here.

Bob the Restaurateur at an angle under artificial lighting.

Next is Bob The Restaurateur and let me tell you, this polish is just about everything I dream for in a cream polish! It is inspired by Bob Belcher from Bob’s Burgers and is described as a “a slightly deeper, dustier cornflower cream with the same blue shimmer running throughout.” Bob The Restaurateur had beautiful coverage at 1 coat but was completely opaque for me in 2, it is a super pigmented polish but i had no staining when swatched with a base coat.

The last polish I have today is Nagatha Christie and this is another fave of mine. It’s described as a “bright cornflower crelly base packed with gold and blue shimmers and iridescent hex glitters that shift from red to gold to green. ” 2 coats makes for beautiful coverage but I did opt to go in for a 3rd for my swatches today to add even more flakies and depth to the final look!

img_4331

Hey guys! Today I have a really quick But Do They Watermarble, this week I am featuring the Cupid’s Bow collection that is available now from SuperChic Lacquer! These polishes retail for $14 and they were sent to me for review. You may use my affiliate code, Sloppy10 to save 10% off of any order.

These polishes did such an amazing job! They spread out beautiful and aggressively, the only one that may stall a bit is Dart Through The Heart. They do dry a little on the quicker side so y9u may want to move quickly and not manipulate the outside edges. They also do tend to spread more while making a design. Here are my finished looks:

lt

Hey guys, today I have the Love Trio to share with you from Night Owl Lacquer! These are releasing tonight (2/10) at 10 PM MST and will retail for $25 for the trio or $9 individually. They were sent to me for review and if you love a jelly formula as much as I do you are going to be enamored with this collection!

lovebottle-2

Love shown at 3 coats under artificial lighting.

lovebottom-2

Love at an angle under artificial lighting.

First up is Love which is described as a “a bright red jelly packed with silver holo shreds.” This is such a perfect true red jelly! The first coat goes on amazingly smooth and very evenly and it built up perfectly opaque for me in 3 coats, you may only need 2 depending on application and preferences!

Next up is Unicorn Love which is described as a “deep purple jelly with blue, pink & violet holo shreds.” This polish is everything my squishy jelly dreams are made of! Unicorn Love did tend to pool a little thicker around the edges of my nail and at 3 coats was just shy of being opaque but I absolutely love how the glitters look suspended in this base! I think this is going to be a beautiful polish to lead light with and I’ll be testing that out further today.

The last polish in today’s trio is Love Hate which is described as a “black jelly with red holo micro glitters, red holo shreds and silver flecks.” With this polish I do recommend going in for a little bit thick of a coat to build that black jelly base up quicker. Love Hate built up to full opacity for me in 3 easy coats and I love this combination!

First up is The Fire Within, the group custom. This polish is described as a “medium grey creme with bright red shimmer, red holo shreds and silver flecks.” The formula on this polish is perfection, it went on in 2 smooth and easy coats! The shimmer does translate beautifully to the nail and really compliments the grey base.

Next up is one of the core polishes, available right now! This is Crazy AF and it is described as a “black polish with a bright violet shimmer, scattered holo and purple holographic glitters.” This polish does feel like it has a bit of a black jelly base so it is one that needs to be built up a little. The first coat was a bit streaky but a thicker second coat brought this polish perfectly opaque. I cannot even with this one y’all, it is so freaking beautiful!

Bitch I’m A Unicorn at an angle under artificial lighting.

The last polish I have today is Bitch I’m A Unicorn which is described as a “neon hot pink polish with rainbow shifting iridescent glitters and black shreds.” Lindsay made this polish in honor of her birthday and I have been lusting over it in the worst way! This polish is super bright and also UV light reactive. It does have a super squishy jelly formula and I did need 3 coats for full opacity to cover my stout nail lines. This is such a badass mix!

Cupid’s Vacation shown at 2 coats under artificial lighting.

img_4070

First up is the namesake of the collection, Cupid’s Vacation! Cupid’s Vacation is described as a “pink-ish red linear holographic with micro holo black glitter, iridescent shimmer (gold to green to blue) and multi-chrome flakes (teal, purple, blue.)” This polish has a super intense linear holographic flame, the black glitters did read a little bit blue to me in this mix. Cupid’s Vacation has a beautiful 2 coat formula that dried down just slightly dull.

Smooshy nail art!

For my nail nail art today I did a super easy squishy look! To begin I laid down a base of 1 coat of Tux Polish’s Pure and some liquid latex around my cuticles for easier cleanup. Then I added dabs of each of the three colors in this collection directly to my clear stamper, I found if you add more of the orange it makes for a beautiful watercolor finish! I then dabbed my stamper directly to a mat to blend the polishes a bit before dabbing it directly to my nail. I did make two passes before top coating and clean up. This is the result:

Swatches | The Trio of Love Collection from Tux Polish

picmonkey-image-33

Hey guys! Today I have a trio of three gorgeous glittery shades releasing from Tux Polish Saturday February 4th, these polishes were sent to me for review and will retail for $10 each or $28.50 for the trio. I’ll be sharing a quick swatch and review with you as well as some super simple nail art!

firstbottle

First Love shown at 2 coats under artificial lighting.

firstbottom

First Love at an angle under artificial lighting.

First up is First Love which is described as a “silver holographic polish filled with micro glitter and holo flakies.” This polish is such a beautiful silver micro glitter and definitely a must have if you don’t have one in your collection! The formula is super nice and was completely opaque for me in 2 easy coats, it does dry down a bit textured but a good glossy topcoat helps smooth it out and gives it a perfectly glittery finish.

For my nail art I used a base of First Love and used a damask stencil to stamp on some Deep In Love. I then went in and added some accent dots of Love Bug and finished the look off with some glossy topcoat. I really enjoyed the Anna vibe that these gave me!
